The Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of Assembly & Test and factory support operations. The role will focus on driving key operational metrics, including but not limited to On Time Delivery, Efficiency, Productivity and cost reduction. This manager will be critical in maintaining and reenforcing commitments to EH&S and Quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

Will manage Assembly & Test and facility support activities including but not limited to:

  • Drive EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement Culture.
  • Manage direct reports and their activities, including overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems; and discipline in accordance with company policies.
  • Lead team to achieve goals; promote and demonstrate effective communication and positive culture.
  • Plans, establishes, and coordinates work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and accommodate operational hours.
  • Works with Facilities Supervisor to ensure the property, factory and office are functioning efficiently.
  • Collaborates with the Planning and Engineering teams on production and planning schedules.
  • Works closely with Quality and Logistics teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Remove production constraints, allocating equipment resources and direct production employees to attain established goals.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting operations functions.
  • Coordinates with Inventory team to manage WiP inventory.
  • Assists with budget develop and adherence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with computer-based management systems and ERP for inventory control, manufacturing operations, and work order management.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications and drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience working in manufacturing, supply chain or operations organizations; 5 years of experience with manufacturing engineering, assembly operations, machining and/or material testing.
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures within the field.
  • Excellent professionalism both internally and externally
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Manufacturing or Engineering discipline
  • Manufacturing Financial Acumen
  • Working in an ISO9001 environment
  • Working within an established Quality Management System

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00
