About the Position:

The Enterprise Server Administrator's role involves installing, operating, tuning systems, servers, and related components to ensure high levels of availability and security for supported business applications. This includes installing hardware and software, establishing and managing user accounts, and ensuring the servers are integrated with existing network systems. Additionally, this individual is involved in planning and implementing policies and procedures to ensure server system and maintenance are consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:

  • Install, configure and maintain enterprise servers.
  • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for enterprise server systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
  • Coordinate with Network Engineering, business application and database administration functions to implement server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
  • Manage user accounts and file permissions.
  • Work with cybersecurity department to implement policies, procedures and technologies to ensure operating system security through secure system access, monitoring, control and routine security evaluations.
  • Perform standard configuration, management and maintenance tasks for related file systems, input/output systems, clustering, storage and applications.
  • Develop, validate and maintain current runbooks and documentation for assigned scope of responsibility
  • Perform and test system configuration backups and restores to ensure system recovery from error or outage.
  • Perform and test data backups and restores.
  • Review and deploy server system releases and vendor-supplied patches according to best practices.
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems within given scope of responsibility.
  • Support application development teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Monitor, test and tune system performance. Preserve and provide system log files as needed.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to infrastructure in order to improve efficiency, reliability and performance.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Technical Certifications such as Server+, AZ-900, AZ-401 are preferred.
  • 7- 10 years' experience in IT.
  • Applied experience with the latest versions of Windows Server (2019-2025) is required.
  • Experience in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience managing type two hypervisors.

  • Experience with administering a hybrid environment (Azure Entra co-existence with Active Directory on-prem) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Powershell, Python, etc...) and automation is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
