Employee Health Resource Nurse (RN)

Empath Health is currently seeking an Employee Health Resource Nurse (EHN) to join our team.

The Employee Health Resource Nurse (EHN) is responsible for the day to day operation of the Employee Health Program. The EHN works in collaboration with the Infection Prevention and Employee Health Team and Human Resources to create a safe work environment by overseeing the employee health functions for all Empath Health programs with attention to program-specific unique requirements and risks. The EHN possesses clinical expertise and utilizes critical thinking skills that focus on the needs of employees, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals. The EHN collaborates with other healthcare professionals and community agencies and is familiar with standards and regulations for healthcare workers. The Employee Health Resource Nurse promotes a safe working environment through pre-employment and annual health screenings and education and monitoring of employee exposures, injuries and illnesses.

Requirements:

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred; previous experience in Employee/Occupational Health in a healthcare setting; 2+ years preferred.
• Licensure: RN licensure, licensed in State of Florida.
• Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association; Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheet/data management.
