System Engineer

Research emerging technologies, assess appropriateness for JFG environment; implement vetted solutions; maintain JFG messaging platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Specific Responsibilities

• Provide consultative technical guidance to customers as it relates to scoping, design, installation and configuration of assigned technologies.
• Oversee day to day operation of technical environments which includes change, release, performance and availability management.
• Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
• Capacity planning.
• Maintain documentation of assigned technologies.
• Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations effectively
• Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.

Job Requirements

• 5 years system engineer experience
• Ability to assess new technologies and see appropriate fit with JFG.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred. 8+ years IT experience acceptable alternative.
