CNC Mill Turn Machinist - Sign On Bonus $5,000

Custom Mold & Design, a Velosity Company is hiring an experienced CNC Mill Turn Machinist on 1st shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The CNC Mill Turn Machinist operates and programs computer-controlled machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts.

The typical pay range for this role: $27.81-$41.71/hour

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors.

This position includes a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

This position will report to the Operations Manager, and has no direct reports.

Schedule: Shift start between 4:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. (flexible) Get out early on Fridays!

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to perform various machining operations.
• Write and test CNC programs to ensure machines produce parts to specifications.
• Perform first article inspections and make adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and any issues encountered.

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma/GED-General Studies
• Certificate-Machine Trades or equivalent work experience: Preferred
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.

Experience/Skills:

• Previous experience operating CNC lathes and other CNC machinery.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Pulling, Twisting, Turning, Seeing, Hearing
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Work Conditions:

This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
