This Blood Donor Recruitment Associate will be responsible for:
- Recruiting blood donors via telephone and mail. Coordinating recruitment and donor scheduling with other recruitment staff, administrative staff and collection staff. Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Developing annual collection goals with recruitment colleagues, operations supervisor and administrative manager. Compiling and maintaining accurate statistical reports for tracking productivity.
- Organizing and implementing strategies for working with identified sponsor groups, employees and families to insure maximum participation in both hospital based and bloodmobile donor programs.
- Educating potential donors and donor groups about blood donation through presentations and educational materials. Functioning as a resource person for patients, families, staff and donors regarding blood needs and usage.
- Participating in the development of special promotions and materials to enhance donor recruitment and retention.
- Orienting and training new recruitment and administrative staff as needed.
- Participating in the development of the annual promotional budget. Maintaining supplies of promotional materials.
- Responsible for specific programs as assigned; contributing to blood donor recruitment program through building lasting and meaningful relationships with donors, prospective donors and donor groups.
- Maybe required to attend offsite meetings and events by utilizing personal, ride share or public transportation.
To qualify, you must have:
- High school Diploma/GED, and at least two years of work experience.
- Associates degree preferred
- The analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take appropriate action in a variety of difficult circumstances.
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under federal regulations are necessary.
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred
