Job Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the overall manufacturing operation for one or more product lines. These activities include managing the safety of personnel, and employment of assigned personnel to build and ship large electrical power boards. The Production Manager will coordinate with other groups such as engineering, quality, planning, supply chain, shipping, and others to ensure success of the production plan and plant goals. Responsibilities include: creating a safety first culture and a culture of continuous improvement mindset focused on safety, cost, quality and delivery.

A Day In The Life

  • Demonstrates the ability to drive teams safely and fosters a safety first mindset
  • Working knowledge of large electrical panel board construction
  • Meet or exceed area KPI goals and contribute to plant level KPI success
  • Support rapid company growth through employee development and team management
  • Identify and implement projects for continuous improvement and cycle time reduction
  • Ensure company safety, production and personnel policies and standards are followed
  • Ensure that all PCX standard operating procedures are followed to meet customer specifications
  • Responsible for ensuring quality standards are met and control plans followed with appropriate documentation and record keeping
  • Enforce and maintain 5-S and LEAN standards in all assigned areas
  • Meet regularly with team members to discuss safety and production performance
  • Other duties as assigned by plant management

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 3 to 5 years of Leadership experience in a factory environment
  • Bachelor of Science Degree - STEM preferred
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Electrical equipment experience
  • Experience in ISO9001 and ERP operating environment
