Job Summary

As the Executive Chef, you will lead kitchen operations, ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for staff while adhering to corporate standards. This role is ideal for a dynamic culinary professional who oversees meal preparation, adheres to standardized recipes, and ensures high-quality dishes. You will also manage food safety, equipment maintenance, and staff training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute regular and specialized menus following company guidelines.

  • Maintain high standards in food quality by tasting dishes before service.

  • Train staff on food preparation, safety, and equipment use, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

  • Manage kitchen maintenance, cleaning schedules, and safety protocols.

  • Oversee inventory to ensure essential products are stocked and manage the use of leftover food within company guidelines.

  • Adhere to local and federal health and sanitation laws, contributing to successful audits.

  • Engage in continuous staff development and participate in departmental meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or relevant experience.

  • 5+ years in culinary/kitchen management, more experience preferred for those without formal training.

  • Strong background in high-volume, complex foodservice operations and institutional cooking.

  • Direct hands-on cooking experience essential.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage.

  • Experience in catering and knowledge of current food trends.

  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
