Position Summary
The Capstone International Center at The University of Alabama invites applications for a renewable contract instructor position to teach introduction to global and cultural perspectives courses.

Detailed Position Information
The position will also assist in continued growth of the Global and Cultural Perspectives Minor as well as development of other courses related to international education. The appointment is non-tenure-earning and is a three-year term with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding. The position will teach at least 3 courses per semester as well as provide .2 FTE of service equivalent per year.

The position will be open until filled, but first priority consideration will be given to those who apply by April 30, 2025.

Position begins August 16, 2025.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have expertise in global studies and intercultural competence. Applicants must have an earned master's or doctorate in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in international education and/or living or working overseas is preferred.

The Capstone International Center (CIC) is led by the Associate Provost for International Education and Global Outreach. The CIC is the hub for international activity on the UA campus. We support students, faculty and staff through Education Abroad, the English Language Institute, the Global and Cultural Perspectives Minor, International Student & Scholar Services, Partnerships and Scholarships, and other initiatives.
