We are currently seeking a Real Estate Capital Markets Director - Contract Finance Closing Coordinator to jointhe Real Estate Capital Markets ("RECM") division. This position will be located in Charlotte, NC.

Essential Functions:
  • Work with the RECM's Head of Contract Finance, outside legal counsel, internal partners, and third-party vendors to ensure RECM closings comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Align with internal flood teams ensuring FDPA compliance for all real property collateral.
  • Facilitate insurance review with external consultants and outside counsel to ensure compliance with securitization requirements.
  • Work with third party search firms to order searches on counterparties.
  • Assist with the closing procedures and ensure the efficiencies of all parties involved.
  • Collaborate with the RECM lending and securitization teams to meet deal deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Assist with various post-closing borrower request and facilitate reserve releases or other pre-securitization requirements with the bank's enterprise loan operations (ELO) team.
  • Track real estate taxes due dates and insurance renew timeframes for closed loans prior to securitization.
  • The position will report into the Head of Contract Finance and include regular interaction with loan originators, outside counsel and securitization professionals.

Education/Certifications:
  • Requires 12+ years of experience as a paralegal or junior attorney at a law firm or at a real estate finance company with proven track record/direct experience closing CMBS loans.

Specialized Knowledge/Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate closing transactions.
  • General understanding of requirements for loans closed for a securitization exit.
  • Well versed in market standards on flood requirements and insurance provisions.
  • Experience coordinating Real Estate Capital Markets activities within commercial banking platforms.
