Client: Hospitality Organization
Role: Human Resources Generalist (Temporary)
Pay Rate: $30-35/hr

Location: Downtown Manhattan - *5 days a week onsite*

Duration: 3-6 months - could extend based on performance!
Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Oversee the new employee onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. Conduct new hire orientations, process necessary paperwork, and facilitate introductions to the team and company culture. Manage the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Communicate policies effectively to employees and ensure consistent application.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain and update employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Generate reports and analyze HR data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date on relevant employment laws and regulations, and ensure the organization's HR practices are in compliance. Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required.
  • HR Projects: Participate in and lead various HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
  • Employee Engagement: Support initiatives to foster a positive and engaged work environment, including employee recognition programs and communication efforts.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
