Academic Administration Fellow Job Details Job Location : UHSP main campus - St. Louis, MO Education Level : Doctorate Job Category : Academic - Teaching, research, service Summary The historic St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP) at University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy invites applications for a one-year Academic Administration Fellowship. This fellowship will develop knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes in organizational administration, colleges service, academic and student affairs, teaching, and scholarship that will improve the fellow's competitiveness for an academic or administrative position in higher education. You will develop advanced competencies in: organizational administration college service academic and student affairs teaching scholarship You will have an opportunity to: manage administrative processes for the office of the dean and college of pharmacy support faculty support academic affairs by participating in oversight of the comprehensive assessment plan provide management of college and departmental budgets and accounting activities coordinate preceptor development and curricular redesign within experiential curricula organize and facilitate college committee functions supervise student workers coordinate, implement, or support programming and events for students in conjunction with other staff assist as a skills lab instructor, practicum assessor, and/or lecturer in certain courses based on interest, knowledge, and business need develop a unique pharmacy pathway for students enrolled in the College of Pharmacy, or conduct other approved research pursue a master's degree in public health throughout the program, if desired. Qualifications To succeed you will need: Required Education, Experience and Skills: Pharm.D. prior to the start of the fellowship Passion for pharmacy Knowledge of and experience in the current practice of pharmacy Experience in interprofessional teamwork Strong written and verbal communication skills (including with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external stakeholders) Familiarity with learning management systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient in team-based learning Excellent time management Excellent project management Strong attention to detail Quantitative skills Analytical skills Literature search and evaluation Embodies UHSP Core Values: Discovery, Diversity, Inclusion, Respect, Integrity, and Service Leadership style that emphasizes openness, consultation, and shared governance Incorporates cultural competency Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Pharm.D. conferred by UHSP/STLCOP Experience coordinating schedules Experience working on multiple projects with congruent timelines Experience leading/managing complex projects Experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, or organizational leader Prior rotation or work experience in the Dean's Office or similar administrative positions 1 year of research experience Knowledge of cognitive and moral student development issues If this sounds like the job for you here is information on how to apply: Interested candidates are requested to submit a letter of intent, a CV, and two letters of reference through the University's online application portal.
