Description

In this role you will provide age specific nursing care in the Multi-specialty clinic.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collecting health data andhistory information,medication reconciliation, take vital signs, start IV and obtain venous blood samples, process medication prescriptions, administer medications and injections, prepare and assist procedures, process instrument for sterilization. And assist as assigned with patient education on medication initiation and follow up, endoscopic procedures preparation and audio-visual instructions, Document patient information accurately and in accordance with departmental and institutional guidelines. Maintain a good patient flow through the clinic. Provide continuity of care to assigned clinic/s. Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuation workload and/or frequent interruption. Ability to respond and assist appropriately in emergency situations. The incumbent follows the principles set forth in the UCLA Health System and strive to provide the highest quality of C-I-Care/Patient Experience Practices.

Salary Range: $34.61-$45.66/hourly

Qualifications

Required:



  • Possess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners withIntravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification
  • BLS Card from ARC or AHA
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform
    physical examinations and/or procedures

  • Skill and knowledge to submit quality work in a timely
    manner

  • Demonstrated ability to be punctual and maintain good
    attendance

  • Keyboard literacy skills to access and input data in
    computerized logging systems

  • Skill to perform CPR

  • Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working
    environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers

  • Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life
    threatening medical problems

  • Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report
    to the physician

  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and
    obtain drug refills as needed



Preferred:

  • Spanish Speaking Skills
