Second Shift (United States of America)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs the following duties while operating the Pack Size equipment, which produces cardboard cartons that support various departments throughout Cambro Manufacturing. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Produces a variety of cartons and pads to fulfill order requests.
  • Ensures that all transactions concerning the issuing of cartons to other departments and the raw material warehouse are completed.
  • Report out-of-stock items to the Inventory Control Supervisor
  • Ensures the Pack Size machine is in good working order and immediately notify the Supervisor, Manager, and Maintenance of machine downtime.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor and plan to efficiently and effectively produce cartons to avoid downtime in production.
  • Ensures that the Pack Size and warehouse areas are kept clean and neat.
  • Report and record damage to the product or Cambro property immediately.
  • Continues projects started by other shifts
  • Communicate verbally and in written form (via email) to all shifts regarding Pack Size issues.
  • Performs a comprehensive shift exchange daily. (add this line)
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and consistent with regard to attendance, breaks, and lunch.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable, to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, can work well with others, is open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone respectfully.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to the immediate manager.
  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture and display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
  • Understands department's key performance indicators and contributes to achieving these goals individually and as a team.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years of related experience.
  • Must have organizational skills and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, and have the ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$17.10 - $17.61

Salary may vary based on experience.
