Job Description

Omni Amelia Island is looking for an Assistant Director of Human Resources to join the Human Resources Team!

The Assistant Director of Associate Services will assist the Director of Associate Service in managing all Human Resources functions to include Associate Relations, Recruitment, Associate Engagement, Benefits and Training.



Responsibilities

    Maintain ASC and Omni Standards at all times.
  • Manage and mentor the following direct reports: HR Generalist, Sr. HR Manager and Recruiting Manager.
  • Take ownership of payroll by auditing overtime, Kronos and PTO for Associate Services.
  • Audit Wage Analysis monthly.
  • Partner with Director of Associate Services in yearly budgeting process and forecasting.
  • Work with Director of Associate Services to plan and participate in community engagement activities.
  • Act as Director of Associate Services in their absence.
  • Point of contact for internal audit. Also oversees auditing of associate files.

Associate Relations:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Associate Services to create a welcoming environment for inquiries or concerns.
  • Advise the Director on Omni Policy, Culture, and Leadership matters.
  • Provide guidance to management on associate issues related to supervision and leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and associates, promoting the value of associates and the property, and finding solutions for success within Omni.
  • Work closely with Department Heads/EC members when leaders are involved.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation of associate issues, following counseling and disciplinary procedures, and protecting the company's legal interests.
  • Manage the annual salary review process for both salaried and hourly associates, ensuring reviews are distributed on time and conducted professionallyTop of Form
  • Work with Director of Associate Services to plan and execute annual Associate Engagement Survey
  • Partner with Director of Associate Services to create associate events. For example, MOQ and SOQ outings, OSC Party, etc.
  • Partner with Director of Associate Services to positively impact retention.
  • Conduct all Salaried Stay and Exit InterviewsBottom of Form

Recruitment:

  • Act as a source of knowledge and support for the Recruiting Manager
  • Process OLW and obtain all necessary approvals for higher level leadership positions
  • Partner with Recruiting Manager and HR Generalist to create onboarding experience on the first day.
  • Enter relocation information into UKG when applicable to ensure payment at proper time
  • Assists and actively participates in the recruiting & employment function to include job fairs in and around the community, colleges, universities, etc.
  • Assist Recruitment team in completing wage analysis annually to remain competitive
  • Partner with International Recruiting and Housing Manager to onboard H2B and J1 Associates

Benefits:

  • Act as a source of knowledge and support in matters specific to Associate Benefits.
  • Partner with Sr. Associate Services Manager to grow and create new associate events such as the Annual Health and Wellness Fair, Mammogram Mobile, Blood Mobile, etc.
  • In the absence of the Sr. Associate Service Manager, partner with the Director of Associate Services to continue to provide a seamless Benefit experience to our associates.

Training:

  • Act as a source of knowledge and support for the Recruiting Manager and HR Generalist where it relates to New Hire and New Manager Orientations
  • Partner with the Director of Associate Services to create new Training programs to engage leadership and associates.
  • Complete any other reasonable requests as directed by the Director of Human Resources.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. High school Diploma required.
  • Previous experience as HR Director, Assistant HR Director or HR Manager.
  • Human Resources experience within a hotel/resort environment strongly preferred.
  • SPHR Certification or CHRE Certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate via phone, email and speech with associates
  • Must be able to operate equipment mentioned above.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs repeatedly.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
