About This Internship

The Digital Transformation Intern at Cargo Aircraft Management, Inc. (CAM) will play a key role in leveraging data and technology to enhance operational efficiency in the aviation sector. CAM, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), is a leading provider of aircraft leasing solutions, specializing in the acquisition, conversion, and leasing of freighter aircraft to airlines worldwide. This internship provides a unique opportunity for students in aviation management, business, engineering, or IT to gain hands-on experience in data-driven decision-making, aircraft valuation, and lease modeling. Interns will work on real-world aviation projects such as developing Power BI dashboards for aircraft performance comparisons, lease modeling tools, and data automation solutions that support CAM's global fleet operations. This role provides valuable exposure to the intersection of aviation, finance, and digital transformation, preparing students for future careers in the evolving aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in the development and optimization of data models for aircraft performance tracking
  • Support automation efforts to improve fleet management processes
  • Conduct data analysis and visualization to enhance decision-making for aircraft leasing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline digital transformation initiatives


Required Skills & Qualifications



  • Completion of at least two years of a college or university program in Aviation Management, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities throughout the workday
  • Experience working with reporting software such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize and manage data efficiently


Preferred Skills & Experience



  • Background in finance, business, aviation, or IT-related fields
  • Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard creation using Power BI, Excel, or other tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps for workflow automation
  • Familiarity with asset management systems like Cloudcards
  • Understanding of aircraft valuation, lease modeling, and market analysis
  • Experience working with economic data sources (e.g., St. Louis Fed) for report generation
