Claremont, CA Job Posting Title: Director of Leadership Annual Giving & Scripps FundJob Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Philanthropy, the Director will lead the growing and vibrant annual giving program, developing and overseeing multi-channel innovative solicitations for alums, parents and other strategic constituencies. This position requires superb interpersonal and communication skills, advanced strategic thinking, and project management expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing direct-response fundraising campaigns, and as an influencer and advocate for growing a culture of philanthropy. The Director will have a keen appreciation for the foundation of annual giving as the enabling component of successful major gift and gift planning programs and will deeply enjoy developing, enhancing, and creating new ways to leverage giving as a form of engagement. The Director will also leverage data analysis and look for creative ways to integrate data with purposeful solicitations and strategic marketing. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities. Minimumthree years of experience in non-profit fundraising, secondary or higher education development, and/or a related field development experience, including annual campaigns is required. LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: None. OTHER: HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS: This is a regular status, full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt position. The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Must be available to work nights and weekends. Regular travel for multiple days is a requirement of the position. Salary range: $90,000-$98,000 annualized. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, andtraining. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises Leadership Annual Giving Officer and Coordinator, Scripps Fund and oversees the recruitment, hiring and training of student Scripps Fund callers.
