Accounting Manager- Raleigh, NC
The right person for the job will be able to actively manage and lead the Accounting Department while performing a variety of accounting and administrative functions in accordance with Standard Procedures. You should enjoy the challenge of developing and leading a department of two on overall accounting operations, which includes, but aren't limited to accounts payable, fixed assets, and financial reporting. You will provide oversight and timely, accurate recording of transactions to the Association's general ledger, dissemination of information and department training. The Accounting Manager will contribute to all our business objectives including "Navigating our Association Safely and Soundly". This position is full-time in office for the first year and would report to the Controller.

How you will impact AgCarolina Farm Credit:
- Leads and develops the Accounting Department team
- Oversees general accounting, reconciliations and other month-end close processes
- Manages a variety of accounting and administrative functions as required to maintain day-to-day operations
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls within financial reporting
- Develops and promotes an entrepreneurial spirit among the department which involves creativity, vision and productivity
- Identifies and makes recommendations for enhancements which improve processing and/or efficiency
- Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Association's internal controls policy
- Deliver exceptional customer experience to both internal and external customers

What you need to succeed:
- Education and/or experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of accounting experience, including supervisory skills
- Strong knowledge of current accounting principles generally accepted in the United States
- Ability to understand, comply, and advise management on current federal, state and local legal requirements
- Experience with and proficiency in the use and application of: Excel, Access, PeopleSoft, Loan Systems, and Hyperion
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external auditors, regulatory agencies, correspondent banks, and others
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop team
- Must be a quick learner who takes ownership over the ir knowledge and continuous development
- Must be adaptable, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines and expectations
