Warehouse Operations Manager - 3rd shift Hillsboro, New Hampshire, United States - OSI USA Danvers What we expect

The warehouse operations manager is responsible for daily operations and supporting functions. This primarily involves assigning work to direct report associates who complete the daily workload and thus satisfy our customers' needs. Supporting functions include inventory control and import/export compliance. The work environment is time-bound and fast-paced.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support and enforce policies and standards of the Hillsboro plant.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with warehouse management, the supply chain leadership team, internal customers, and external suppliers, to ensure expected service levels.
  • Promote and maintain the internal work environment culture that is candid and focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost control.
  • Provide direction, evaluation, discipline, empowerment, development, and support, to direct report associates.
  • Safety - provide and promote a safe work environment.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Training - process, systems, powered industrial equipment.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams.
  • Achieve and maintain a Powered Industrial Equipment license.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience managing people.
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Transportation systems knowledge.
  • Import/export knowledge.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles.

Communication:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the warehouse management team, external suppliers, direct reports, and other departments within the plant.
  • Leadership: Must have demonstrated leadership skills which include motivating associates to complete tasks accurately and on time, leading by example, delegation, maintaining company standards, and accountability.
  • Work cooperatively with the warehouse management team and support departments to accomplish the daily workload. Foster a culture of working as a team within the hourly staff.

Problem-solving:

  • Ability to identify operational roadblocks and implement resolutions.
  • Must be highly organized with excellent time-management skills, while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must have schedule flexibility. Travel, weekend/holiday work, may be required.

Computer skills:

  • SAP experience.
  • Proficient in navigating Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, TEAMS, etc.).

Must be able to achieve and maintain a powered industrial equipment operator's license.
