We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Format Specialist. This role is vital in optimizing store layouts, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers. The Format Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing store formats, develop innovative store designs, and implement best practices across our grocery store locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Format Specialist:
    • Analyze existing store layouts and formats to identify opportunities for improvement within specific departments throughout the store.
    • Collect and evaluate data on store performance metrics, customer behavior, and sales trends.
    • Develop concepts and sketches as recommendations for store layout changes and new format concepts.
  • Design and Planning:
    • Work with merchant teams, Operations, and design teams to create detailed store format plans and layouts.
    • Develop floor plans that maximize space utilization, product visibility, and customer flow.
    • Ensure that store format designs align with company objectives, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implementation and Monitoring:
    • Oversee the implementation of new store formats, including coordinating with cross functional construction & development teams, vendors, and store teams.
    • Monitor the execution of store format changes to ensure adherence to design specifications and project timelines.
    • Track the impact of store format changes on sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Apply learnings to future project development.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with store managers, merchandising teams, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and address store format issues.
    • Communicate store format strategies and changes to store teams and provide support during the transition period.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and present reports on store format performance, including insights from data analysis and implementation outcomes.
    • Document best practices, lessons learned, and case studies for future reference and continuous improvement.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of store layouts, design standards, and format changes.
  • Innovation and Trends:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in store design and format.
    • Propose innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the store experience and drive business growth.

What are the details?

  • Hybrid Remote: This position is based out of Carlisle, Pa. and will require 3 days a week in the office.

  • Reporting: The Format project Specialistreports into the Manager Format Designwithin the Brands Team.
