Sr. MRI Tech

Job Summary
Reporting directly to the MRI Section Leader, the Senior MRI Technologist performs a variety of MRI imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Interacts with the Radiologist and patients to ensure successful accomplishment of MRI imaging. Participates in QA activities. Trains new staff, and performs some of the duties of the MRI Section Leader in his/her absence.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology; or Graduate of an accredited school of MRI accredited by ARRT.

Experience
A minimum of 5 years of MRI technologist experience required.

Licensure and/or Certification
Current registration as R.T.(R)(MR)(ARRT) or R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required.
BLS healthcare provider required.

Skills
Must have IV skills and proficiency.
Strong communication skills required.
Effective teaching skills required.
Must be computer proficient including PACS and HIS/RIS.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information required.
