Job Summary



The General Labor is responsible for hanging parts on a paint line and/or packaging parts. Their role is essential to keeping the production flow moving in order to meet operational and customer deadlines.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Hangs parts on hooks for painting per directions of line lead.
  • Performs visual inspection of parts for obvious defects when hanging parts.
  • Tracks and counts parts to ensure they match the work orders.
  • Performs work orders or verbal instructions from lead or Supervisor.
  • Changes nozzles as needed in all stages of the washer.
  • Cleans nozzles per the company maintenance schedule.
  • Cleans all washer screens daily.
  • Assists the line with masking, de-masking, and bagging parts.
  • Maintains clean and safe work area in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Understands and follows company policies, as well as safety and quality policy and procedures.
  • Assigned in other areas of the shop depending on production demand/flow.

Qualifications



Minimum Qualifications



Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:



  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment with a solid work history.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Basic Math skills (add, subtract, multiply, division, percentages)
  • Experience using basic hand tools (i.e. wrenches, drivers, sockets, etc.)
  • Must be able to read basic blueprints
  • Must be able to reach parts hanging 6 feet high from hook consistently.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions, work orders, or customer specifications.
  • Must be able to complete training in internal Complete Wash System maintenance.



Preferred Qualifications



Education: NA

Experience and/or Training:



  • Experience using ergonomic equipment properly such as hoists and cranes a plus
  • Experience with forklift a plus



Physical and Mental Demands




  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use foot/feet to operation machinery.
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and move from place to place.
  • The employee regularly is consistently talking; listening, climbing or balancing and reaching above shoulders at least 6 feet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
  • The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Working Environment



Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where loud noise exposure is regular and frequent. Additionally, there is a regular exposure on the production floor to dust, metal debris, changes in ambient temperature, and requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
