Description
Essential Functions:

  • Primary point of contact to clients regarding project set-up, updates, issue resolution, deliverables, and scope changes.
  • Lead client meetings in person or via teleconference to ensure projects are clearly defined and overall objectives are properly documented.
  • Generate labels and COCs for laboratory work in preparation for field projects.
  • Track sample shipments with laboratories to ensure appropriate receipt.
  • Review pricing, methodology, and sample counts with proposed scope.
  • Communicate with laboratory staff on project status.
  • Monitor laboratory performance in regard to report turnaround and significant quality issues.
  • Review and approve subcontract laboratory invoices.
  • Prepare finalized report documentation, update project tracking details.
  • Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 3 years administrative experience
  • 4 years Project Management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of methodology, commonly used approaches, and laboratory requirements is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of client requirements, including applicable permits, legal codes, and data use cases is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of Environmental Lab experience



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • General skill level in Microsoft Office programs, including Work, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General knowledge of testing capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Basic to intermediate methods to resolve project management problems, questions and concerns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Professional behavior and appearance.
  • Ability to be organized and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, follow up on pending issues, meet deadlines and work independently.



Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. Sitting/Standing and possible light lifting.



Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. In an industrial environment, employee may frequently be required to lift, carry, push, or pull. Exertion of up to 30 pounds of force may be occasionally required. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
