Job Summary

The Outlet associate is responsible for completing duties as assigned according to product flow guidelines, as well as ensuring a positive customer experience.



  • Maintaining appropriate security of cash and donated goods
  • Operating register, ensuring specialty or individual items are rung up correctly
  • Complying to Agency policies and procedures
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Rotating tables onto sales floor, as directed
  • Ensuring quick placement of high-quality, processed goods to the sales floor
  • Maintaining product flow guidelines
  • Ensuring loss prevention and process flow guidelines are followed
  • Stocking individual pieces of merchandise, as directed
  • Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures
  • Ensuring the physical safety and cleanliness of the sales floor and parking lot
  • Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
  • All other duties assigned by the Operations Manager


Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic, character and integrity
  • Solid judgment and common sense in decision making
  • A positive, helpful attitude to co-workers and customers
  • Avoidance of any conflict of interest with product or customers
  • Appropriate and professional communication and demeanor
  • Ability to remain on task
  • Ability to follow and maintain product flow guidelines
  • Adaptability in performance of duties
  • Ability to learn computer skills to complete on-line training as necessary
  • Commitment to mission of the organization
  • Comfort with handling cash and operation of a cash register
  • Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission
  • Ability to perform job duties safely
  • At least 6 months of work history, unless this is their first job
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
