The Supply Chain Strategic Buyer for Breakers & Modules is responsible for purchasing goods and services for a company, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The role involves market research, supplier negotiation, inventory management, and collaboration with internal teams.
Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key commodities and materials.
* Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost savings and quality improvements.
* Conduct market research to track trends, risks, and new opportunities in the supply chain.
2. Supplier Management
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality and service standards.
* Manage contract negotiations and supplier agreements.
3. Cost & Risk Management
* Optimize procurement costs by analyzing total cost of ownership (TCO).
* Mitigate risks by developing contingency plans and supplier diversification strategies.
* Collaborate with finance teams to ensure budget alignment and cost-saving initiatives.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with production, engineering, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement with business goals.
* Support product development by sourcing new materials and innovative solutions.
* Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.
5. Process Optimization & Compliance
* Improve procurement processes through automation and digital tools.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

* Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is beneficial.
