The Architect III, Infrastructure & Network (Senior) is responsible for designing and implementing complex infrastructure and network solutions that align with Concentra's strategic goals. This role involves assessing current infrastructure and network capabilities, identifying gaps, and proposing enhancements to ensure optimal performance and scalability. The architect will lead the integration of new technologies into existing systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Additionally, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive architecture frameworks that support business initiatives and drive innovation within the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and lead architecture strategies for enterprise infrastructure and networking, including data centers, cloud environments, and hybrid systems.
- Develop network architecture and ensure secure, resilient, and highly available connectivity across all locations and platforms.
- Define and enforce infrastructure and network standards, best practices, and governance.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of infrastructure technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure architecture with business goals and application requirements.
- Support infrastructure transformation initiatives, including cloud migrations and network modernization.
- Act as a technical advisor and mentor to infrastructure and network engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and business continuity requirements.
- Oversee capacity planning, performance analysis, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
- Document architecture designs, procedures, and systems configurations.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree; Major: Computer Science, Information Technology Systems
- Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in an architecture or leadership role overseeing infrastructure and networking.
- Demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills and familiarity with enterprise storage environments.
- Experience with large heterogenous enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise network topologies, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and SDWAN.
- Proven experience with on-premises data centers and hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with Healthcare preferred

They should be adept at facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts, and guiding others in their professional development.
- Network Design Skills: Extensive experience in designing and implementing network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and cloud networking solutions. They should be proficient in using network design tools and methodologies to create scalable and secure network infrastructures that meet business requirements.
- Infrastructure Security Practices:Experience in designing and implementing security protocols for infrastructure systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure network architecture. Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST is essential.
- Disaster Recovery Planning Skills: Extensive experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, and recovery strategies to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
