Product Implementation Specialist

What you will do:

Johnson Controls is developing the next generation of smart and connected by making building more intelligent. A smarter building is safer, more comfortable, more efficient, and ultimately more sustainable.

He/she will ensure cooperation, communication and coordination between Business Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations. You will lead the Change Review and Implementation Board and liaise with internal leaders to ensure that all product change priorities are evaluated, planned and executed through the JCI HVAC Ducted Systems business. This leader owns the planning, execution and implementation of the Change Management process from engineering release to implementation.

How you will do it:

  • Oversee and manage the change request process for parts and components within the JCI Ducted Systems SAP and product systems.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to understand and implement changes

  • Matures the capability and executes engineering change activities while leading with operational discipline, communicating and promoting performance transparency, and standardizing processes and reporting tools.

  • Develops and maintains a predictive analytics model that enables the Business Operations team to successfully plan and execute new product introduction (NPI), regulatory, and cost savings projects.

  • Works with cross-functional team leaders and managers both vertically and horizontally to ensure change requests are delivered on time.

  • Owns and maintains the Change Review and Implementation Boards, change management performance KPIs, and change management processes.

  • Proactively works with the Project Management Organization (PMO) to understand and plan inputs into the CM process and impact product configuration, product cost accuracy, documents and standards teams to ensure expected value of NPI, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) is met and delivered on-time to the business.

  • Be a champion that leads improvements in material master data coordination, BOM construction, routing standardization, and product cost accuracy, engineering change coordination, process standardization, and policy adherence.

  • Conduct part transition reviews to account for disposition instructions, minimize part scrap, reduce unused inventory and meet availability requirements to meet customer orders

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field of study

  • Prificiency in SQL database management and query optimization

  • SAP Change Master experience, Material Master data, bills of material maintenance, Classification, Engineering Changes systems and additional module(s)

  • Techincal Writing ability to document work procedures to be shared across the JCI organization

  • Able to speak to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as absorb and use technical documentation

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Project Management: Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously. Ability to present project objectives, progress reporting, and facilitate review meetings with executive and senior audience while demonstrating strong business acumen

Preferred

  • Experience or knowledge of the HVAC Industry preferred

  • Implementation in the discrete manufacturing industry

  • Experience in developing reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence (BI) and data visualization software tools

  • VBA coding skills, with the ability to develop and maintain complex macros and scripts

  • Experience in SAP Variant Configuration or Advanced VC modelling, including knowledge of configurations profiles, rules and dependencies.

  • Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management Software experience

  • Lean and Six Sigma Certification
