What you will do:

This position is responsible for the overall quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs for an MRO and reports directly to the General Manager. The responsibilities of this position include oversight of the quality assurance function, maintain regulatory compliance with part 145 requirements, and manage a staff consistent with the oversight necessary to maintain compliance of all requirements to operate the repair stations at the highest standards. This position is also the focal point for all FAA coordination for the MRO.

Requirements



  • S. in aviation or related field OR 10 years management experience
  • Verbal, written & presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussion with all levels of employees and management
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and budgeting principals necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports and meet financial objectives for assigned area and programs
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations
  • 10 years in aircraft maintenance heavy, line, component, engineering, quality assurance, or aircraft inspection in an airline or MRO organization.
  • 4 year's experience in a quality auditor or inspector for an airline or repair station
  • 5 years management experience in an airline or repair station
  • Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, project management, email and web-based applications
  • Working knowledge of CFR's as it relates to 121 and 145 operations.
  • Aircraft maintenance manuals, structural repair manual, and knowledgeable in customer CAMP programs.
  • Working knowledge of airline CASP and reliability programs



Preferred



  • A &/or P License
  • Master's degree in business or related field.
  • Knowledgeable of computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Experience in contract administration.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing.
