Treasury Management Audit & Risk Manager

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

Primarily responsible for oversight of compliance, risk control, and audit administration for Treasury Management ("TM"). Partners with the TM Product, TM Support and TM Sales teams to organize audit responses and action plans in response to audit recommendations . Collaborates with various departments (Credit Administration, Compliance, Risk, FIU, IT, Legal, Audit and Deposit Operations) across the Bank to assess and report risk findings and vulnerabilities with Treasury Management's customer base. Identify and prioritize new initiatives to drive business strategy, mitigate potential risks and control gaps, financial return, and/or positive customer impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitors activity and trends in client transactional behavior to help mitigate fraud.
  • Work across the organization to deploy and manage a risk-based approach and streamline process, while ensuring compliance and alignment with bank-wide policies and procedures, external standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Discusses audit findings and the impacts professionally and confidently with various levels of the organization. Identifies process improvements for Treasury Management based on understanding and analysis of process flows/operations
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of products, services and pricing, service setup documentation, operating systems, and data transmissions, file formats and protocols used for the delivery and support of Treasury Management products and services.
  • Responsible for Treasury Exposure Limit Review process.
  • Works with TM Implementation team to make adjustments to service limits as a result of reviews which could include limit increase, decrease, or cancelation of service.
  • Responsible for monthly tracking of RDC, mobile remote deposit, ACH processing and compiling data to submit in the Operational Risk Committee reporting package.
  • Identifies Key Risk Indicators (KRI's) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to evaluate performance against desired state
  • Oversees tasks assigned to TM Compliance Analyst.
  • Coaches internal staff throughout the audit engagement to ensure the audit objectives are met.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal bank staff as required.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Participates in data mapping, testing and other conversion projects related to Bank mergers.
  • Assist with special projects as required.

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to develop, interpret, and evaluate policies and procedures
  • Develop and cultivate partnerships and work closely with Risk, Compliance and Product Managers to maintain oversight over emerging and existing key risks, controls and corrective actions.
  • General banking knowledge
  • Compliance and/or Risk experience

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of banking experience. Minimum of 5 years of Treasury Management experience.
  • Knowledge: MS office expertise, Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; Knowledge of Treasury Management products / services, compliance, risk or audit and online banking systems.
  • Skills: Excellent written/oral communications skills; Analytical skills, Audit skills, Proven success in problem analysis and resolution; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Strong organization skills; Ability to manage multiple detailed work assignments with a high degree of accuracy.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

On the job training with other Treasury Management team members. Required annual compliance training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
