IEM is looking to bring on aFull Time - Account Executivefor the Midwest and Northeast Regions. Primary Location:
- Live anywhere that meets remote work requirements in the United States including Puerto Rico.
- Work will take place either in the field,in an office environment,or remotefrom a personal location and will depend on the need of the project.
Travel Requirements:
- Once hired, you will travel across the United States- Mainland or Puerto Rico to client sites as needed.
- Daily travel and other expenses are reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations or DoD Regulations.
Essential Functions:
- The Account Executive develops a strong partnership with their IEM peers, providing solutions in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Disaster Recovery, and Critical Infrastructure.
- They represent all of IEM to their customers, identifying opportunities where IEM can offer unique solutions tailored to the needs and budget of government customers.
- The Account Executive delivers value by delivering to our customers IEM leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) so IEM can deeply understand our customers' challenges through many and multiple engagements.
- Will be assigned a Capture Manager to assist with the successful capture, proposal, and awarding of their A opportunities, as well as the largest and most strategic B opportunities.
- They will lead an internal IEM team in developing solutions by coordinating with delivery sectors, IEM Operations (including Pricing and Contracts), and various industry partners. Together, they create competitive solutions and proposals for submission.
- They will promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on delivering value to customers. Additionally, they will work with corporate marketing and communications to ensure IEM is well-represented at various conferences and events.
- The Account Executive's success is recognized and compensated based upon contract awards resulting from this Pre-Award Process.
- They are encouraged and incented to compete for large, multi-year complex contract awards that demonstrate IEM's value on long-term engagements with our government customers.
- The Account Executive manages their pipeline in IEM's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to provide reliable data for forecasting financial projects and workload expectations.
- They are expected to have a deeper understanding of their customer accounts than anyone else at IEM, just as Sector leaders are expected to know IEM's unique capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS)
- Ten (10) years of experience
- Federal, State, Local, and/or Territorial sales and/or delivery experience in government consulting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fifteen to Twenty (15-20) years of experience
Additional Information:
- Office Locations: Often, these offices are either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.
- Remote Locations:All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
- Situational Awareness:During site assessments, conditions may be austere, including prolonged exposure to excessive heat and cold, prolonged sun exposure and no electricity, heat or air conditioning. Other potential risks include air quality issues, standing water, mosquitos, snakes, debris, and other potential exposures.
- Physical Requirements:Site assessments may require extensive walking and standing for long periods of time, working in small spaces, tunnels, and ditches, and climbing ladders.

- Starting salary is based on your location and experience: $185,000 - $252,000 annually.
