Role Summary

The Specialist, Commercial Facilities Operations Projects will be responsible for overseeing Commercial Facilities projects, managing vendors and ensuring operational excellence for Rivian's Commercial portfolio in North America. This includes retail, service and charging locations. In true start up fashion, some of the processes for these projects do not exist or have the opportunity for refinement as the company scales. Rivian is looking for an experienced individual, who is a self-started, collaborative, creative, highly organized, and communicative leader to champion these projects within the Commercial Operations team.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of Commercial Facilities projects across Rivian's North American Service, Spaces, and RAN locations, ensuring adherence to internal standards and validating project completion in accordance with Rivian's quality expectations and budget.
  • Prioritize and time manage multiple projects simultaneously spanning five time zones, consistently exceeding Rivian standards for quality.
  • Provide consistent and effective communication to stakeholders regarding project status, timeline, and operational requirements.
  • Chair progress meetings, complete status reports and deliver presentations as required.
  • Develop and maintain Scope of Work documents, project plans, and specifications to ensure vendor/contractor quality and schedule adherence.
  • Develop and issue Requests for Proposal and Work Orders to vendors/contractors in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop strong vendor/contractor relationships by participating in recurring QBRs and provide consistent feedback on contractor/subcontractor performance.
  • Review vendor/contractor estimates for accuracy, scope adherence and market rate alignment in accordance with Rivian's purchasing requirements.
  • Track and present project financials from initial estimation through approval, requisition, purchase order and invoice submission. Ensure all project budgets are in alignment with Rivian purchasing policy and relevant Finance partner requirements.
  • Effectively coordinate vendor/contractor access, deliveries and work at Commercial Facilities that mitigates disruption to Rivian customers, landlords/property managers and employees.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Field Operations, Design and Construction organizations
  • Perform other duties and assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience (construction/facilities preferred)
  • Proven ability to:
    • Lead and coordinate complex facilities projects
    • Solve problems and resolve conflicts
    • Manage vendors and budgets
    • Prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Provide excellent internal stakeholder service
  • Maintain strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Suite tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Irvine & El Segundo, CA based applicants: $98,000 - $123,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
