*Description*
Our client has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for an experienced level Systems Engineer to assist in the oversight of existing server and network infrastructure at our McPherson, KS facility. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented and have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team environment and independently. Responsibilities * Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. * Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for hardware and software issues, resolving complex problems efficiently. * Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect desktop environments from threats. * Ensure desktop systems comply with organizational security policies and industry regulations. * Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance user experience. * Work closely with other IT team members to develop and implement new technologies. * Collaborate with network and systems engineers to integrate desktop systems with broader IT infrastructure. * Maintain detailed records of system configurations, changes, and support activities. * Conduct training sessions for end-users and junior support staff to enhance their technical skills. * Develop and maintain desktop recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures. * Stay updated with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance desktop support services. * Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users. * Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for support, procurement, and issue resolution. * Follow established policies for Change Management and related ITSM processes. * Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Minimum Qualifications (required) * High School Diploma (or equivalent) * Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role. * Proven experience with endpoint management software platforms, desktop provisioning technologies, and PXE * Advanced knowledge of Dell computer hardware and Printers * Proficiency in popular operating systems Desktop/Mobile (Windows, IOS, Android) and software applications * Experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP * Familiarity with network connectivity, patching, port tracing and troubleshooting Additional Qualifications * Bachelor's degree preferred in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field * ITIL Certification * Certification: CCNA, A+, N+ * Scripting/Automation knowledge (PowerShell) Physical Requirements * Ability and willingness to work non-traditional work hours and occasional off hours to control interruptions to production processing and business impact * Ability to work in manufacturing environment wearing appropriate PPE * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds * Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
