Position Summary |
This position will assist Museum Director and associated staff with the organization and upkeep of the Museum. These include quality control of the social media and outreach, museum initiatives, general intern management, collections space organization, general upkeep, and organization of the collections. Additionally, this will include upkeep of collection records, digitization, and general exhibit space maintenance and operations as well as phone calls and emails with patrons. And in general, assist the Director in tasks as assigned. |

Provide Administrative and Programmatic Support to the Museum Director
- Assist with daily administrative tasks, scheduling, correspondence, and project coordination.
- Help organize and document meetings, prepare reports, and maintain internal records.
- Support planning and execution of exhibitions, public programs, and events.
- Coordinate with museum staff, interns, and volunteers to ensure smooth workflow across museum activities.

Provide Backup Support for Front Desk and Visitor Services
- Fill in at the front desk as needed, welcoming visitors and providing information about exhibits and parking.
- Respond to inquiries via museum email and voicemail, forwarding messages to appropriate staff.
- Assist with creating a welcoming and informative visitor experience.

Support Collections and Educational Program Management
- Assist with oversight of science box inventory and coordination with Franklin College for the checkout system.
- Help with intern-led collections work and database entry for specimens.
- Contribute to updates of the museum's website (Drupal), including intern experience blogs, events, and outreach activities.
