Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits. Position Summary The College of Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated student worker to assist with website maintenance and support. This position provides hands-on experience working in a professional web environment and supporting the digital needs of faculty and staff across the College. Duties & Responsibilities Assist in updating and maintaining College of Medicine websites using WordPress, the designated content management system (CMS) Monitor and respond to web support tickets, providing timely assistance to faculty and staff Address and help resolve website accessibility issues to ensure compliance with university and federal standards Collaborate with the web team to maintain consistent and accurate content across websites Perform other related duties as assigned Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Preferred undergraduate degrees: Computer Science, Engineering, or Marketing. Candidates with other degrees may also be considered if they have equivalent experience in website development. Strong attention to detail Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly Able to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks independently Good communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) Basic knowledge of HTML and web accessibility standards Understanding of website best practices including responsive design and usability Work Schedule: 10-15 hours per week (flexible schedule during business hours) Location: Primarily remote with occasional on-campus meetings (if applicable) The University of Illinois System is an equal opportunity employer, including but not limited to disability and/or veteran status, and complies with all applicable state and federal employment mandates.
