Job Title: Regional Client Manager (Sarasota based)

Job Summary

To pursue new business opportunities and maintain existing contracts for efforts to provide disaster recovery and environmental restoration services to Governmental agencies in an assigned geographic and/or functional area. The principal result of successful performance will be the acquisition and growth of profitable federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts.

The Client Services (CS) Manager is responsible for nurturing relationships with pre-event contract clients and helping improve readiness posture.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Participate as part of a team in the pursuit of federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts within a specified region, market, or event.
  • Participate in regional marketing, sales, and contract development in business development initiatives, especially building relationships with client organizations that have existing executed contracts with Ceres.
  • Develop and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with targeted customers and strategic partners within a specified region, market, or event.
  • Identify and assist in potential contract opportunities, business areas, and partners within a specified region, market, or event.
  • Record and track all sales and customer-related activity within CRM.
  • Participate in regional pre-event, post event, and pre/post event capture plans maintaining all capture activity records in CRM.
  • Provide the Business Development leadership with details of unqualified opportunities for pursuit decision.
  • Assist in developing, executing, maintaining and planning the overall business development lifecycle related to the procurement of federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts.
  • Assist the proposal production staff by contributing subject matter expertise to continually improve our proposals and to create specific proposals in response to new opportunities.
  • Work with business project managers, estimators, and other staff as necessary to collect information on potential bid opportunities and qualifications for eligibility.
  • Provide technical support to Operations during disaster activations. Monitor daily reports for compliance and support with corrective measures as needed.



Essential Qualifications



  • A minimum of one year served as a Client Services Representative.
  • Significant government relations experience including expertise in disaster response and disaster debris work.
  • Experience with government procurement processes and contract vehicles, especially FEMA, USACE, and state agencies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.



Desired Qualifications



  • Successful work history with verifiable and quantifiable business successes.
  • College degree, preferably related to engineering, business, government management or environmental work.
  • Proficient with contract management and business development strategies.
  • Must have computer proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, the internet, and email applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all teams in a collaborative and cooperative manner.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and negotiating communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategic plans with excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with government employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively strategize, plan, implement, manage, and coordinate multiple assignments.



Location of Position

This position will require some travel. Much of the work is expected to be in an assigned region or event. CS Manager visits current and prospective clients in the assigned region or event. Overnight trips will include periodic visits to the Sarasota office, participation in several annual trade shows, and visits to exceptional clients who may be outside of the region or event. During an approaching hurricane, after landfall or after another storm event, an extended period may be spent in the affected area of the storm.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside in all weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to work with daily exposure to dust and dirt.
