Join our team as a Lead Quality Engineer. Job Summary
The Lead Quality position provides critical Quality support for our Global Quality organization. The Lead Quality will provide analytics and problem solving expertise within the motorcycle and parts & accessory businesses. The role will also be expected to assist on larger ad-hoc projects identified by company leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong analysis, problem solving, project management and communication skills as well as a passion for Continuous Improvement. Job Responsibilities
Specific: * Champion resolution of quality problems spanning Product Development and Operations * Serve as a subject matter expert to the Product Development and Operations organizations to leverage warranty learnings and customer feedback to improve product development * Support initial investigation and data gathering of potential quality concerns * Prepare, report, and disseminate quality metrics and other information to the organization * Perform ad-hoc analytics requests to drive product quality improvement * Proactively research and analyze trends, opportunities, and risks related to product quality * Translate business needs to design metrics and dashboards for insight, reporting, and self-service analytics * Facilitate the return of warranty parts from the field, including assessment and disposition General: * Work with cross-functional groups up, down, and across the organization to obtain results. * Participate in projects that drive increased product quality and customer satisfaction * Support of the Corporate Quality Team & Harley-Davidson Quality Management System Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Education Specifications
A bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline is preferred. Advanced training or certification in data analytics and problem solving is desired. Experience Requirements
