We are currently seeking an exceptional Transportation Analyst here at Incora.

The Transportation Analyst is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing freight and transportation within the America's distribution network. This role is tasked with driving cost savings by reviewing invoice charges from carriers and identifying any discrepancies within our guidelines. The Transportation Analyst must collaborate with the Supply Chain, Sales, and Internal and Customer Operations teams to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and cost benefits are achieved. Additionally, this position is crucial for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements related to freight and transportation. The Transportation Analyst will collaborate with the Transportation Specialists to ensure that daily and weekly transport needs and financial targets are met.

Key Activities will include:

  • Establish and maintain performance metrics and cost analysis that cover main freight routes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with cost saving opportunities such as minimizing unnecessary costs (detention, demurrage)
  • Write or revise standard operating procedures for Transportation processes.
  • Oversee day to day workload of Transportation Specialist and provide guidance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Transportation
  • Create visibility & accountability on all projects; facilitate the development of line-of-sight metrics to link Freight activities to PMT's strategic initiatives
  • Ability to interact across the supply chain as necessary including multi-site planning, manufacturing, compliance, IT, transportation, warehousing, and 3PL.
  • Use analytic methods and tools within the TMS to improve internal processes
  • Assist in negotiating transportation rates in accordance with company guidelines and standards
  • Tracking, managing, and monitoring transportation activities using software systems
  • Maintain relationship with third party freight payment company
  • May work with customs officials to work out delays and obtain release of incoming freight.
  • May assist in compliance with federal regulations.
  • May communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange shipments and resolve any issues that arise

About You:

  • The ability to analyze and evaluate data to make informed recommendations and decisions.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internal and/or external members.
  • Data integration (ETL) activities, leveraging multiple data sources
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong follow-through, prioritization skills, and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to maintain required productivity levels
  • Must be comfortable presenting data to employees, including senior management, in person as well as over the phone.
  • Understand the management of budgets
