ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a Vendor Contract Manager to join our Legal team. The position is preferred to be onsite at our Corporate Office in Newburgh, Indiana. The Vendor Contract Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and overseeing the company's contractual relationships with its vendors. This role will support a large cross-functional group of development, delivery, legal, procurement, management, and operational resources within the organization. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and deploying practices, programs, and standards that establish a consistent and efficient business process in service of productive and fair vendor contract relationships. The Vendor Contract Manager likewise ensures subcontracts and change orders are negotiated with the company's customers and contractual standards in mind. The position is given latitude to evaluate and deploy creative solutions and technologies impacting contractual negotiation processes and substantive contract terms, including using artificial intelligence. The person in this role is responsible for coordinating and collaborating routinely with members of internal legal and procurement teams in service of key business stakeholders and outside suppliers. The position is similarly and routinely involved with communication with company leaders and suppliers. This position is administratively intensive, requires a high degree of business and contractual acumen, mandates creativity, wit, responsiveness, and efficiency. The ideal individual in this position consistently stands ready to respond quickly, balancing precision, accuracy, and efficiency under pressure to meet the demands of the role with tact and professionalism.
