Position Description Summary:
The Department of English at The George Washington University is accepting applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in British literature, specializing in either medieval or 18th century/Romanticism. The position is expected to begin as early as Fall 2025.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach introductory, survey, and advanced courses, depending on program needs, with a teaching load of 3/3.
Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum qualification for this position is a PhD in English or Comparative Literature and experience in college-level teaching.
Advertised Salary: $65,000
