Short Intro and About the Job

The Agile Category Leadership team exists to drive short-term, high-impact initiatives that accelerate growth, unlock opportunities, and build category-centric solutions rooted in strategy. As a Senior Manager on this team, you'll be a catalyst, moving faster than the broader system to tackle top-priority challenges, test new approaches, and bring category leadership to the forefront of commercial decision-making. You'll shape how Danone shows up internally and with customers.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative without being asked, and can bring structure, insights, and influence cross-functional workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead Agile Category Initiatives: Own and execute high-priority, fast-moving category leadership projects that support strategic customer and internal business goals.
  • Turn Insights Into Action: Leverage category, shopper, and market data to develop clear, concise recommendations that influence internally and externally.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Impact: Act as a connector across Sales, Categories, Commercial, etc to ensure category leadership is embedded into decision making, content creation, etc.
  • Accelerate Growth Opportunities: Identify whitespace, scale test-and-learns, and develop strategies that unlock dollar growth potential for the Category and Danone
  • Be a Thought Leader: Represent the voice of the category internally and externally, bringing forward ideas, frameworks, and trends that differentiate Danone as a partner.
  • Act Like an Owner: Take initiative, prioritize effectively, and proactively drive work forward, even when direction is still forming.
  • Scale What Works: Package learnings and tools that can be adopted across other teams & customers.

The base compensation range for this position is $125,000-$160,000 commensurate with experience. Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About You

  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and doesn't wait to lead.
  • A category leader with 5 - 8 years of experience in category management, customer strategy, shopper insights, or related roles (CPG experience preferred).
  • A storyteller who can translate data into action and influence both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • A collaborator who builds relationships quickly and brings others along.
  • A strategic thinker who connects short-term opportunities to long-term business goals.
