THE HIGH LEVEL An Iron Bow Contracts Administrator negotiates and administers assigned contracts, subcontracts and required changes, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and partner contract requirements. Responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating, and revising contracts and subcontracts that involve the purchase or sale of goods and/or services by identifying and mitigating risk while working to ensure business goals are achieved. This position is approved for remote work with occasional visits to the Herndon, VA Headquarters. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Effectively and successfully manages manufacturer, service provider, supplier, and customer contracts.
- Applies problem solving techniques, collects pertinent data, analyzes possibilities, and makes appropriate recommendations to accomplish business and contractual goals relative to contracts, procurement, and related laws and regulations (including but not limited to FAR, DFARS, TAA, BAA provisions, contract clauses and requirements).
- Drafts contracts and subcontracts that involve the purchase or sale of goods and services.
- Negotiates terms and conditions for numerous types of agreements and contracts (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Purchase Orders, Subcontracts, etc.) by identifying, analyzing and mitigating risk, while working to ensure business goals are achieved.
- Reviews contract documents and correspondence as part of the analysis of incoming bid requests.
- Participates in negotiations, with existing or prospective clients to establish basic performance, contractual, and legal guidelines for assigned contracts.
- Requests amendments or modifications to contracts as required.
- Maintains detailed and organized files for contracts, which will generally include the original contract, correspondences, authorizations, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules, etc.
- Ensures company compliance with contractual and legal requirements, owner specifications, and government regulations.
- Understands the Company's business/sales strategy.
- Recognizes internal and external customer expectations in order to establish workflow direction and foster continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Manages day-to-day activities in a fast-paced department, ensuring department and corporate standards are consistently met.
- Ensures timeliness in execution and delivery of new contracts, business proposals, quotations, and customer communications.
- Responsible for efficient operations by working collaboratively with key areas of the organization to ensure customer's needs are met.
- Provides a wide variety of customer service for internal and external customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepares and disseminates information to appropriate employees regarding contract status.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2 to 4 years of Federal contract administration experience (preference in the DoD space).
- Experience with subcontracts is desired.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, motivated, time management skills and results oriented.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, TAA, and BAA.
- Must be able to work on many different projects at one time in a team environment.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
- Ability to prioritize requirements and meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced, sales driven environment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Regular, reliable attendance is required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS There is approximately 5% travel requirement for this position.
