Overview

This position is responsible for assisting the Manager of Ground Services with all ground services functions for both Atlas Air. These services consist of ground handling set up, aircraft fuel operations, administration of several databases, aircraft deicing, services and aircraft cabin services.



Responsibilities

    Charter and Mission planning and communicating activities through Charter Advisory Process
  • Responsible for supplier compliance with government regulations and company standards and policies
  • Tracks and maintains a database of all into-plane fuel agents, fuel farms, ground handling vendors and aircraft de-icing vendors for Atlas Air in Salesforce
  • Track Loadmaster/PSR reports for vendor performance for offline flying
  • Provide preferential fueling strategies, i.e. fuel tankering.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with Fueling and Ground Services Manuals
  • Coordinates interdepartmental ground services related activities
  • Identify and elevate any issues or concerns with upcoming operations
  • Liaise between ground handlers and fuel suppliers, operations and accounting departments
  • Liaise with Ops Planning, Sales, and customer service on flight specific requirements
  • Research airport ground handling capabilities to complete suitability matrix
  • Responsible for Animal charters pre alerts (AVI Alert form) to downline stations
  • Arrange vendor payment requirements for charters and missions as needed
  • Attend vendor, charter meetings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year airline experience
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or equivalent ground handling/airline operations experience
  • Good management and negotiations skills
  • Positions requires Shift work, weekend and holiday coverage
  • Proficiency in IT systems including WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Ability to lead and work with interdepartmental teams
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate time sensitive duties
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to understand Cargo and passenger ground handling, deicing, fuel, and catering procedures

Salary Range: $43,000-58,000
