Job Description

The Role:

IPG Health Creative Production is seeking a full-time Manager, of Production Operations for administration and lifecycle management of advertising assets across our network of agencies. Works in close partnership with our Studio Digital Asset Management Team. This role will focus on digital rights management (DRM) for creative content, including photography, video, and multimedia assets, emphasizing rights tracking, compliance, metadata accuracy, and rights-expiry management. Working closely with Creative Production, Production Studios, and cross-functional teams, this position is critical for ensuring compliant asset usage and optimizing asset lifecycle workflows.

A day in life:

Digital Rights Management & Tracking

  • Responsible for entering/transmitting all completion report information into our DRM System (Brand Vision/Fadel)
  • Responsible for entering associated automatic expiry renewal notification setups into our DRM System to track asset rights and permissions for all content types.
  • Managing the DRM rights expiration tracking system notification, generating reports on asset expirations and activating requests across responsible departments for renewing expirations associated with licensed assets.

DAM Strategy Development

  • Partner with the Studio DAM team to Develop, align, and implement DAM strategies and best practices, establishing guidelines for asset ingestion, storage, retrieval, and archiving to streamline asset management.
  • Oversee rights management policies, ensuring compliance across agency networks.

Taxonomy, Metadata, and Rights Schema Development

  • Participate in efforts to establish a rights-focused metadata schema in partnership with Studio, IT, and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Develop cataloging standards for asset rights, metadata tagging, and taxonomy to ensure DRM compliance and enhance searchability.

User Rights and Access Management

  • Oversee user rights management, controlling permissions for team members based on asset licensing and distribution needs.
  • Implement protocols to ensure secure and compliant access to assets across teams and with external partners.

Asset Distribution and Compliance Management

  • Facilitate and track the sharing and usage of digital assets, ensuring distribution adheres to DRM policies.
  • Coordinate both inbound and outbound asset transfers, verifying compliance with rights guidelines and expiration dates.

Quality Control & Compliance Oversight

  • Collaborate with the Studio DAM Team in conducting quality assurance checks for all digital assets, including metadata accuracy, content validity, and rights expiration monitoring.
  • Review and approve asset uploads, focusing on restricted content, expiration management, and appropriate metadata tagging.

Training and User Support

  • Provide training to DAM users on DRM policies and best practices, ensuring effective utilization of system features and compliance with rights management protocols.
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure users understand rights requirements and adhere to metadata and cataloging standards.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Generate and analyze reports on rights compliance, asset expiries, and user access patterns, identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency of asset usage and rights tracking.
  • Provide insights on internal and external requests for digital assets, guiding continuous improvements in DAM processes.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate closely with departments including Account, Creative, Production, and Project Management to understand digital asset needs and align DAM capabilities to support rights management and usage compliance.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

* Bachelor's Degree (preferred); Field: Marketing/advertising, Human-Computer Interaction, visual communication, or related discipline

  • Digital Rights and Asset Management Expert with 5-8 years of experience managing extensive multimedia libraries in a digital asset management (DAM) environment.
  • Advertising and Agency experience preferred, familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar DAM platforms required.
  • Strongly preferred, understanding of copyright, licensing, and usage rights for visual content across photography, video, and artwork.
  • Experience in digital rights tracking and expiration management, including developing tracking methods to ensure compliant usage and timely rights renewal.
  • Knowledge of metadata standards (e.g., IPTC Core metadata) and experience working with Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Bridge, and Frame.io.
  • Knowledge of structured metadata schemas preferred; quality control protocols, and workflows to streamline rights management across departments.
  • Understanding of various file formats for Adobe applications, camera raw, image, document, video, and audio files

Salary:

$70,000 - $90, 000 annually.
