Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial IT Customer Engagement Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing Commercial IT systems, particularly within customer engagement platforms. The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of technical leadership, business analysis, project coordination, and production support expertise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Lead discussions to gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements for all releases related to Customer Engagement systems.
- Provide comprehensive meeting documentation including minutes, action items, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with vendor partners on technical walkthroughs, requirement validations, and testing procedures.
- Facilitate solution demos and prototyping sessions with business stakeholders.
- Create and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, coordinate UAT execution, and resolve issues alongside vendors and business users.
- Analyze system change impacts on downstream systems (i.e., integrations and reporting), coordinating changes with relevant teams.
- Partner with data management teams on integration requirements between Commercial IT systems and enterprise data warehouses.
- Manage production support activities by triaging issues, documenting and tracking incidents, and maintaining clear communication with business users.
- Act as a project manager for ongoing initiatives, ensuring milestones are met and stakeholders are informed.
- Report project progress, risks, and issues to Commercial IT leadership in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience working with business-facing IT applications.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Veeva CRM, including implementation and integration best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and translate business needs into system solutions.
- Proven ability to communicate and document business requirements clearly and effectively.
- Experience with application testing based on business requirements.
- Familiarity with integrating Veeva CRM into broader IT ecosystems.
- Exposure to other Commercial IT platforms such as PromoMats is a plus.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Self-driven with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.
- 1+ years of project management experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of packaged applications and database systems is a bonus.
