Department Summary The University of North Texas (UNT) has a long history of nationally recognized excellence in the arts, education and humanities and has put more emphasis on fast growing, innovative programs in science, engineering and technology to further grow as a public research university. The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the main mission of the institution including teaching, research and service. The Provost's office provides leadership in the development and supervision of the university's academic programs in conjunction with the deans and representatives of the faculty in curriculum changes, degree programs, and organization. Position Overview The Senior Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs provides comprehensive administrative support to the Provost and Office of Academic Affairs at the University of North Texas. This critical role ensures the effective coordination of executive priorities, manages time-sensitive and confidential initiatives, and serves as a key liaison between the Office of the Provost and internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is professional, highly organized, proactive, and skilled in managing complex schedules, communications, and sensitive information. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and five years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred Qualifications Higher education experience, working in collaboration with senior leadership, highly preferred. Job Duties:
