Job Summary

NIDEC is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Precision Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electric motors used in various applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with hand tools, electrical components, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Job Description

NEW PAY RATE: Starting at $18.77/ hr. 2nd shift $19.75/hr. Increases twice in the 1st. year. Benefits from first day! Background/Drug Screen required.

The Precision Assembler is responsible for assembling various products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

May include any of the following operations or functions in the fabrication, pre-assembly, or assembly process to produce parts and motors according to operator instructions to comply with print specifications. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assemble electric motors according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Maintain required records and paperwork as required.
  • Wind coils, install armatures, and connect wiring as required.
  • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Assembles end brackets and housing and fastens assembly with screws, spot weld, or press fitting.
  • Perform quality checks and functional tests on completed motors.
  • Identify and report defects or assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Solder leads wires to coils using either dip method or solder pens.
  • Lubricates gears and other moving parts.
  • Assembles power cord connectors using terminating machines and assorted

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
