Job Title: Training & Development Manager
Location(s): Thousand Oaks, CA
Job Description:
- As an individual contributor this Instructional Designer position will have minimal supervision that will collaborate with subject matter experts to design, develop and implement instructional materials. This role will be responsible for creating engaging content that meets learning objectives using authoring tools and for delivery in corporate learning management system (LMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop simplified instructional materials for online courses that will enhance staff comprehension, compliance and inspection readiness for clinical trials.
- Create and/or revise interactive storyboards, simulations and multimedia elements that enhance learning experience.
- Ensure that all instructional content is aligned with learning objectives, design principles, and best practices for online learning utilizing appropriate instructional design models.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with project team to ensure timely delivery of all course materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, , to meet project goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or its equivalent is highly desired
- Minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Expertise in using authoring tools such as Articulate Rise & Storyline, Captivate, and Adobe Illustrator to create interactive content, including storyboards, simulations and multimedia elements.
- Excellent communication skills and strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a cross-functional environment.
- Biotech / pharmaceutical / GxP industry or experience in a highly regulated environment strongly preferred.
