Painter

Paint ETA rail, steel beams and miscellaneous small parts in a variety of colors.

* Reads Shop orders and blueprints to determine painting needs.

* Stencil and sticker required items with proper information as required on shop order.

* Check all assembles for dimensional accuracy, color and visually check welds.

* Operational knowledge of air assist spray system.

* Knowledge of mixing and thinning paint.

* Capable of safe material handling.

* Keep spray booth clean and free of paint waste. Dispose of paint waste in proper manner.

* Replace filters & clean stack monthly.

* Order and maintain paint and personal safety equipment inventory.

* Load and unload paint carts.

* Package rail as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop orders, blue prints and technical procedures.

* Mathematical Skills: Proficient with basic mathematical concepts.

* Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concept variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Computer Skills: Knowledge of Windows based software.

* Comply with company rules, policies and safety/environmental regulations.

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
