Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage import trade compliance of U.S. and foreign government laws, regulations and programs.
  • Classify items, assign HTS and duty including all applicable and current rates by HTS and country (301, 232, Reciprocal, etc.; check for ADD/CVD applicability and document requirements for PGA's).
  • Perform audits of customs entries and import item database for accuracy.
  • Manage day to day regulatory matters with Forwarders and Customs Brokers.
  • Manage Social Compliance program including Forced Labor.
  • Manage direct import database for Canada.
  • Manage Duty Mitigation programs including Canada Duty Drawback, Duty Reduction, and First Sale for Export.
  • Maintain up to date Manifest Confidentiality.
  • Manage the CTPAT Program.
  • Work with customs broker to provide information to support entry declarations e.g. TSCA, Lacey Act, FDA, anti-dumping, etc.
  • Assist with interpretation of Customs law.
  • Stay up to date on latest changes in trade laws, customs regulations, technologies and platforms associated with trade compliance.
  • Handle daily communication with staff worldwide and work with multiple departments on different initiatives and goals.
Competencies and skills

Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid Customs Broker License.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years related work experience.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must have extensive experience with ITAR, Commerce and US Customs regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of regulations and management of function in a corporate environment.
  • Requires a strong background in the ability to understand, interpret, and maintain compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
  • Leads and directs the work of internal and outside resources.

The pay range for this position will be 110,000 to 135,000 annually. The exact pay will be determined by multiple factors unique to each individual, including years of experience, certifications, and the specific location of the job. Rates may vary in other areas due to differing labor costs.
