STS Aviation Services is actively hiring a Human Resources Generalist & Compliance Coordinator to join our growing HR team in Melbourne, Florida. Position Summary
This role oversees daily HR operations and compliance activities for STS Aviation Services' U.S. division. Responsibilities include managing employee relations, HRIS updates, recruitment coordination, onboarding, policy development, and compliance reporting. You will work closely with corporate HR and serve as the key point of contact for all local human resources and regulatory initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the HR point of contact for STS Aviation Services in the United States
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and new hire onboarding
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure understanding of company policies, benefits, and enrollment processes
- Support benefits administration including annual open enrollment and communication of plan changes
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and manage updates across employee records
- Conduct workplace investigations and address employee relations matters professionally and confidentially
- Write, revise, and maintain employee handbooks, procedures, and internal policy documentation
- Coordinate out-processing of departing employees including exit interviews and return of company property
- Perform post-accident, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing in collaboration with the Compliance Department
- Serve as liaison between employees and HR regarding questions on policies, benefits, or disciplinary actions
- Produce HR-related reports and metrics for leadership and regulatory purposes
- Maintain availability for urgent HR and compliance matters (24/7 via company-issued mobile device)
- Actively build relationships with local community groups, schools, and organizations to strengthen recruiting pipelines
- Support cross-functional initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, legal compliance, and operational efficiency
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of HR
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification required
- 2-4 years of general HR experience in a corporate setting
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS/payroll systems
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience supporting HR operations in the aviation, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors

Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting at our Melbourne, Florida location. Standard office equipment will be used daily. Occasional visits to the hangar floor or other operational sites may be required.
